Niepołomice Forest, Poland
The Niepołomice Forest is the biggest forest complex in the Małopolska Province and - according to many - one of the most beautiful. The vast forest, which was a traditional hunting ground for Polish kings and is home to many wild animals, the most impressive of which is the European bison, stretches over a total area of around 11,000 hectares. This place, perfect for a hike or a bike ride, is located just 30km from Krakow and accessible by Krakow's public transport.
