A beautiful castle in a spectacular valley of the Prądnik river, surrounded by steep limestone cliffs. It's located just 30km from Krakow and accessible by Krakow's public transport. It was build in 14th century by Kazimierz the Great and later rebuilt by Polish magnates. It was a place of a dramatic battle during the January Uprising and was later devastated by Russians. Rebuilt in 20th century, today is a museum which hosts houses interesting exhibitions and offers beautiful sights of the Prądnik valley.
